2023 Calendars ~ under construction

Future and Past chapter-a-day Bible reading schedules.

Upon waking one morning, it was impressed upon me to begin posting the previous chapter-a-day calendars through the New testament and our current journey through the Old Testament. These examples can be plugged into any month of any year, 

 We read one-chapter-most days because it's fast enough to keep one engaged and feeling like you're making progress, yet slow enough to give you time to look up maps or commentaries if need be- or catch up if something unexpected happens. Reading as a couple, we now also take time to discuss something that caught our eye. This has greatly improved our retention, especially since we are older. If you're reading alone, I suggest a Bible journal where you can jot down your thoughts.

If you are beginning to read, we both highly suggest you start with the 4 Gospels and then read all the way through the New Testament. Now that we're in the Old Testament, our knowledge from reading the New Testament first is sparking all kinds of fascinating insights and connections to the New Testament. 

A warning: we're using an old website builder/editor of our provider. Some days it's impossible to download new information. If you ever find the last month's calendar still on the home page, God helping, you'll be able to keep up on your reading for at least a month. Realistically, the day will come when we're no longer able to keep up website work. But we'll try to keep it on-line as long as possible. Meanwhile, feel free to take screen shots of the calendars to use as templates for yourself. We old folks like the idea of leaving a legacy.
